After you pay, we book your flights with the airline. This normally happens straight away, but it can take longer.
Confirming your booking
- While we book, your trip shows “Paid · confirming” in the app, or “Issuing your e-ticket” on the website.
- When the airline issues your e-tickets, it shows “Confirmed”. We send you a notification and email you the e-ticket as a PDF.
- If we can’t book it automatically (for example, the airline refuses it, or its price has gone up since you paid), our team either books it by hand, or cancels it and refunds everything you paid to your card.
- If it’s cancelled, we tell you by notification and email. Your trip shows “Refund pending”, then “Refunded” in the app, or “Refund on its way”, then “Refunded” on the website.
Your booking numbers
- Shaffl reference: our booking number, which starts with SHAFFL_FL_. Give it to us when you contact us.
- Booking reference (PNR): the airline’s own code for your booking. It shows once the airline gives it to us.
- E-ticket: the airline’s ticket number. It shows once we have it; until then, the app says “Pending”.
